After 30 years of dedicated service, Head of Performing Arts Mrs Leanne Hutchings has retired from St Luke's, bringing to a close a remarkable chapter in the School's history.
As the School's longest-serving staff member, Mrs Hutchings has spent three decades nurturing hundreds of students through their Performing Arts journeys, leaving behind an indelible mark on the community and a thriving Performing Arts Department.
To honour her contribution, the School hosted a special farewell concert, bringing together current and former students to perform some of Mrs Hutchings' favourite pieces. Highlights included a Trombone Ensemble comprised entirely of alumni and a spirited rendition of Dancing Queen by a newly formed Kazoo Choir — a fitting tribute to the talent and creativity she has fostered throughout her career.
The evening was attended by students, staff, families and alumni, and served as a celebration of the extraordinary legacy Mrs Hutchings leaves behind.
While she embarks on a well-earned retirement, those who know her best are confident this is far from a final goodbye.
Farewell, Mrs Hutchings — and thank you for the music.
